Anthony is an American artist born in Syracuse, NY. He takes the spirit from his childhood and incorporates his life experiences into all his work. He is called and challenged by art. He is passionate about exploring creative ideas and is always in pursuit of the muse. Passion and dedication to craft are two adjectives that might describe Anthony's energetic and expressive work. He is trained in oil painting but enjoys a variety of mediums and forms of artistic expression.
In 2009, Anthony founded A. Aversano Galleria in North Beach, CA. Inspired by the Beat & Bauhaus artists in the San Francisco neighborhood. The gallery showcased San Francisco greats including Michael Rios, Momo, Rebecca Peters, & the late Ronald Sauer. A. Aversano Galleria showcased fifty exhibitions over a two-year span. In 2011 Anthony began doing shows outside of San Francisco working with, for example, with Arts Meets Architecture in Los Angeles and Isaac Saavedra at Gamma Space in Oakland. To date, A. Aversano has done exhibitions and art shows in major cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, and New York City. Anthony also built a show in Wynwood, FL for an unofficial Miami Art Basel showcase.
Professionally Anthony has worked for a number of major Arts organizations. Previously he served on the staff of Curran Live (www.sfcurran.com,) Ambassador Theatre Group (www.atg.co.uk,) the San Francisco Symphony (www.sfsymphony.org,) and Academy of Art University (www.academyofart.edu.)
Anthony currently lives on the California coast just outside of San Francisco, CA. Currently, he is working on a new collection of paintings, studying music, and experimenting with artificial intelligence.
